The Law Enforcement Firearms Training Institute provides Ohio Peace Officers Training (OPOTA) courses for today's police and security officers.

Commander Bob Viancourt brings over 30 years experience to the Institute as a local police officer and instructor for the United States Secret Service Academy.

He has trained Secret Service Agents in Washington, D.C., and Treasury personnel at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center.

Since 1979, he has been a certified instructor with the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy.

Chief Range Instructor, Jim Biehl has been involved in Law Enforcement since 1992, working with the Sheffield Village and Sheffield Lake Police Departments.  He has completed Federal Air Marshall tactical handgun training and is an OPOTA certified instructor. 

Jim currently is Vice President and Chief Protection Officer of the bank's Protection Service Team. Jim is a member of IALEFI, the Ohio Assoc. of Chiefs of Police and the Cuyahoga Chiefs of Police.

Joanna Viancourt M.Ed. Safety Officer comes to Law Enforcement Firearms Training Institute with a Masters Degree in Education from Baldwin Wallace University. She is a full time artist and had been a full time vocalist. JoAnna is our Chief Safety Officer and Educational Director.

She is very aware of the safety of everyone on the shooting range and in the classroom.  Her main goal is to see everyone succeed while staying safe in achieving certification.

Narayan Stitt has been a police officer for over 9 years and is currently a Detective. He is an Army veteran of 9 years.

Narayan has been a OPOTA instructor since 2005. He instructs in both the Private Security and Police Academies. He instructs in various disciplines including firearms, subject control, impact weapons and taser.
